Stored script execution via logged username
Published Sep 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Jeesns 1.4.2 allows remote attackers to run arbitrary script in an administrator's browser through a crafted username. The login handler records the supplied username in the member log, where the management view renders embedded HTML and script without neutralization. Execution requires an administrator to open that log, after which the payload runs with the viewing administrator's web-session privileges.
