Stored script execution via unsanitized article content
Published Sep 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Dswjcms 1.6.4 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary HTML or JavaScript when a user views the article list. The article-creation flow accepts and stores crafted image markup, and the articleList page later renders it without neutralizing its event-handler script. The attacker must add an article and a user must open the affected list, placing execution in that user's browser context.
