PHP code execution via template filter bypass
Published Feb 21, 2025 · Updated Feb 21, 2025
Template injection in PbootCMS 1.4.1 and earlier allows attackers to execute PHP code through crafted search-page input. ParserController.php's parserIfLabel decodes an attacker-influenced condition and passes it to eval after its function-name filter fails to recognize PHP variable-function calls. No authentication is shown in the public proof of concept; exploitation requires contaminating rendered template content through a crafted search URL.
