Authenticated SQL injection via cat_false parameter
Published May 6, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in Piwigo 2.9.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL through the group-permission cat_false parameter. Within admin/user_perm.php, the group-permission handler incorporates cat_false values into a database query without neutralizing SQL operators. The published proof uses a time-delay expression to infer database content; access to the authenticated permission-management workflow and a private album is required.
