CVE-2020-19151Network attack vector

Authenticated code execution via malicious template upload

Published Sep 15, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Command injection in JFinal CMS 4.7.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via an HTML template upload. The administrative file manager stores attacker-controlled HTML in a server-side template path, where the Beetl engine processes embedded directives instead of treating the upload as inert content. Access to the administrative file manager is required, and successful exploitation runs code with the CMS process's privileges.
