Heap buffer overrun in LibTIFF 4.0.10 tiffcrop allows context-dependent attackers to crash the utility via a crafted TIFF image. The invertImage() loop processes too many bytes for 2- and 4-bit samples because its column counter fails to advance by the number of pixels packed into each byte. Exploitation requires tiffcrop to process the file with color inversion enabled; the documented outcome is an out-of-bounds read and process crash.
