Arbitrary SQL execution via unescaped publisher parameter
Published May 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in Projectworlds Online Book Store 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute attacker-controlled SQL through the publisher parameter. The edit_book.php handler interpolates the POST value directly into SELECT and INSERT statements without parameter binding or escaping. The endpoint requires only the save_change POST marker; the published error-based payload extracts the database version through the resulting query.
