Arbitrary code execution via unescaped bookisbn query
Published May 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in Online Book Store 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through admin_edit.php's bookisbn parameter. The endpoint places the unfiltered GET value inside a SELECT statement and passes the resulting query string directly to mysqli_query. No login is required; the published payload demonstrates database-value disclosure, while the authoritative record reports arbitrary code execution.
