Unauthenticated SQL injection via pubid interpolation
Published May 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in Projectworlds Online Book Store 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute database queries through the pubid parameter. bookPerPub.php copies the unauthenticated GET value directly into a quoted publisherid predicate and passes the resulting string to mysqli_query without validation or parameterization. No login is required; crafted SQL can alter the query and read database-derived values through error output, while broader operating-system code execution is not established by the published proof of concept.
