Out-of-bounds read and write in WhatsApp for Android before 2.21.1.13 allow remote attackers to corrupt memory via crafted image filters. The image-filter processing path omits a bounds check when a specially crafted image is filtered and sent. Exploitation requires a user to apply the specific filters and send the resulting image, with consequences including memory disclosure or corruption and possible application compromise.
