Stored XSS via unescaped plugin content
Published Aug 27, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Blog_mini 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in visitors' browsers through plugin content. The add-plugin handler stores the content field, and app/templates/base.html line 112 renders plugin.content through Jinja2's safe filter without output escaping. Administrator access is required to submit the payload; execution occurs when the home page renders the stored content in a visitor's browser.
