Local crash via out-of-bounds optional-header reads

Out-of-bounds reads in libyal libexe before 20181128 allow local users to crash a consuming process via a crafted EXE file. The COFF optional-header parser allocates a heap buffer for supplied header data, then reads one- and two-byte fields beyond that allocation when the data is too short. Triggering requires local processing of the file, and the vendor-disputed report demonstrates an AddressSanitizer-detected abort rather than code execution.
