Unauthorized photo description modification
Published Jul 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Improper authorization in ThinkSAAS 2.7 allows remote attackers to alter any user's photo description via crafted photo parameters. The index.php photo album update endpoint accepts photoid[] and photodesc[] values without verifying that the requester owns each referenced photo, allowing descriptions belonging to other users to be overwritten. The CVSS assessment requires no authentication and limits the demonstrated impact to integrity of photo metadata, with no reported confidentiality or availability effect.
