Privilege gain via forged profile-save request
Published Aug 6, 2021 · Updated Nov 19, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in IgnitedCMS 1.0 allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information and gain privileges. The public record identifies the /admin/profile/save_profile endpoint but does not disclose the missing request-validation check or affected profile fields. Exploitation requires a signed-in victim to submit an attacker-controlled request, and resulting access is bounded by that victim's privileges.
