Internet access via firewall policy bypass
Published Feb 28, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Access control bypass in Huawei NIP6800, Secospace USG6600, and USG9500 allows remote attackers on the internal network to reach the Internet. The published workaround filters outbound DNS messages by destination, but Huawei has not disclosed the faulty access-control operation. Exploitation requires internal-network access and bypasses firewall policy to provide direct Internet connectivity; no other impact is reported.
