Administrator code execution via unchecked upload extension
Published Aug 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in AikCms 2.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute server-side code through poster_edit.php. The administrative poster editor accepts an attacker-chosen filename extension without validating it against an allowed type before storing the file. Administrator access is required, and a server-executable upload grants code execution in the web application's security context.
