Browser script execution via unfiltered content title
Published Aug 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in PbootCMS 1.3.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in a visitor's browser through a crafted title. The mod function in apps/admin/controller/content/SingleController.php stores the title parameter without filtering it before later page rendering. Administrative access is required to modify the content, and another user's refresh of the affected page triggers the stored payload.
