Stored script execution via unfiltered web_tongji input
Published Jun 27, 2023 · Updated Dec 4, 2024
Stored XSS in the web settings page of Chaoji CMS 2.18 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in an administrator's browser. The admin-master-webset handler stores web_tongji input without filtering, causing supplied script markup to execute when the settings page is viewed. Exploitation requires administrator access and a later page view in a browser; the demonstrated consequence is script execution in that browser context.
