Stored script execution via unfiltered menu label
Published Jun 27, 2023 · Updated Dec 5, 2024
Stored XSS in Chaoji CMS 2.18 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser through a crafted menu label. The navigation-menu add handler stores the menu_label parameter without filtering, causing submitted markup to be rendered as executable browser content. Administrator-panel access is required to plant the payload, and a second user must open the affected interface in a script-capable browser.
