Digital Balance bypass via insufficient usage restrictions
Published May 29, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Improper authorization in Huawei Mate 20 before 10.0.0.195(SP31C00E74R3P8) allows physically proximate attackers to bypass Digital Balance limits. The Digital Balance usage-time enforcement fails to preserve a limited user's configured restriction after a series of PC-assisted operations. Exploitation requires physical control of the phone as a limited user and affects only enforcement of that user's usage-time limit.
