CVE-2020-18305Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Privilege escalation via client-side RBAC enforcement

Published May 13, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Authorization bypass in Extreme Networks ExtremeXOS before 22.7 and before 30.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute admin commands. Chalet enforces RBAC only in client-side navigation, so a read-only account can request concealed administrative URLs such as /app/filelist/ directly. A low-privileged Chalet session is required; successful requests expose file operations, CLI commands, and switch configuration changes.
