Arbitrary script execution via cfg_copyright
Published May 27, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in PHPMyWind 5.5 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via the admin web configuration endpoint. The web_config.php handler stores the $cfg_copyright parameter without adequate output encoding, so injected script executes when the configuration is rendered. Exploitation requires authenticated administrative access and a victim administrator to load the affected page; the documented impact is script execution in that administrator's browser context.
