Service disruption via COPS packet decoding
Published Dec 28, 2024 · Updated Dec 30, 2024
Out-of-bounds reads in COPS decoding in affected Huawei security appliances allow remote attackers to disrupt network services. The COPS packet-decoding function reads beyond the input buffer while processing a crafted incoming packet; Huawei has not identified the function or packet field. The attacker must gain access to the affected network, and successful exploitation interrupts service without reported data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
