Client-side script execution via unescaped editor output
Published Apr 28, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Qibosoft QiboCMS 7 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script in a reader's browser via a crafted article. In ewebeditor\3.1.1\kindeditor.js, the mode-switch path assigns unescaped editor content to newTextarea.value when HTML mode is selected. A reader must render the attacker-controlled content; the injected JavaScript can read or modify data available to that browser session.
