CVE-2020-1794

Locked-app data disclosure via insufficient AppLock authentication

Published Mar 20, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

AppLock authentication bypass on affected Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 30 Pro firmware allows physically proximate attackers to read locked-app data. AppLock fails to perform sufficient authentication before exposing a locked application's data, but Huawei has not disclosed the exact triggering scenario or operation. Exploitation requires physical possession and affects Mate 20 before 10.0.0.188(C00E74R3P8) and Mate 30 Pro before 10.0.0.203(C00E202R7P2).
