Sensitive-data disclosure via unmasked dynamic-template tags
Published Feb 8, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Information exposure in OTRS Ticket Forms allows remote authenticated users with administrator privileges to read sensitive data. Dynamic-template processing fails to mask administrator-supplied OTRS tags before expanding them, exposing values that should remain hidden. Affected releases are 6.0.40 and earlier in the 6.0.x branch, 7.0.29 and earlier in the 7.0.x branch, and 8.0.3 and earlier in the 8.0.x branch; disclosure occurs when another user interacts with the configured template.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
