CVE-2020-1775Network attack vector

BCC recipient disclosure via external article detail

Published Jun 8, 2020 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Information disclosure in OTRS 8.0.3 and earlier and 7.0.17 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to view BCC recipients via external article details. The external interface includes blind-copy recipient data in rendered article details instead of keeping those mail headers hidden. Access requires a user who can reach the external article view, and the consequence is disclosure of otherwise private recipient addresses without evidence of modification or service interruption.
