CVE-2020-1767Network attack vector

Message impersonation via cross-agent draft reuse

Published Jan 10, 2020 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Improper authorization in OTRS and ((OTRS)) Community Edition allows remote authenticated users to send customer replies as other agents. The shared draft workflow lets one agent reopen and completely replace another agent's saved reply while preserving the original agent as the apparent sender. A valid agent account and access to another agent's saved draft are required; recipients cannot identify the sender substitution from the message.
