CVE-2020-1728Network attack vector

Clickjacking exposure via omitted Admin Console headers

Published Apr 6, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Improper security checks in Keycloak before 10.0.0 allow remote attackers to facilitate clickjacking through Admin Console responses. The Admin Console and REST response path returns pages without general HTTP security headers, including framing defenses that browsers use to block hostile embedding. The omission does not directly compromise the server; exploitation requires a client-side attack or another flaw whose impact is amplified by the missing browser protections.
