Service interruption via unbounded password hashing

Resource exhaustion in Red Hat Identity Management IPA 4.x.x through 4.8.0 allows remote attackers to interrupt the website via long passwords. The password-setting path hashes passwords without first enforcing a maximum length, so a request of at least 1,000,000 characters consumes excessive CPU and memory. A remote password submission must be processed, with user interaction but no attacker privileges; resource exhaustion can interrupt the service.
