CVE-2020-1690

Container service control via SELinux policy flaw

Published Jun 7, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Improper authorization in openstack-selinux before 0.8.24 allows local users in RHOSP containers to control services via D-Bus messages. The applied SELinux policy permits non-root container users to send D-Bus requests that start or stop services, bypassing intended authorization boundaries. Exploitation requires local access inside an affected RHOSP container and can interrupt services, causing denial of service without providing confidentiality or integrity impact.
