CVE-2020-1631Known exploitationNetwork attack vector

File disclosure and session hijacking via path traversal

Published May 4, 2020 · Updated Oct 21, 2025

Path traversal in Juniper Networks Junos OS allows remote attackers to read files and session tokens through crafted HTTP requests. The enabled HTTP/HTTPS service resolves attacker-controlled paths without confining them to an authorized directory and can place command text in httpd.log. Exposure requires HTTP/HTTPS services; configuration files become readable from 19.3R1, while stolen J-Web sessions inherit an active user's access.
