BGP session termination via crafted FlowSpec advertisement

Denial of service in Juniper Networks Junos OS allows remote attackers to terminate an established BGP session via a FlowSpec advertisement. The BGP FlowSpec implementation responds to a specific received IPv4 or IPv6 advertisement with a BGP NOTIFICATION that closes the originating peer session; Juniper has not disclosed the underlying parsing or validation error. Exploitation requires an established BGP peer and a FlowSpec deployment, and propagation can terminate downstream sessions on vulnerable devices.
