Stack-based buffer overflow in IPv6 JDHCPD on Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows adjacent attackers to execute commands as root. Juniper identifies a stack-based buffer overflow but does not disclose the affected function, field, or missing bounds check. Reachability requires IPv6 JDHCPD relay mode; local-server mode and Junos OS before 15.1 are unaffected, while exploitation grants root control.
