Root command execution via crafted IPv4 packets

Command injection in IPv4 JDHCPD relay mode in Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows remote attackers to execute commands as root. JDHCPD improperly handles crafted IPv4 packets in its relay-processing path, causing a stack-based buffer overflow that reaches OS command execution. The attack requires adjacent network access to an IPv4 DHCP relay; local-server mode and Junos OS releases before 15.1 are unaffected.
