CVE-2020-15942Network attack vector

Credential disclosure via clear-text scan profile

Published Apr 12, 2021 · Updated Oct 25, 2024

Information disclosure in Fortinet FortiWeb 6.2.3 and earlier and 6.3.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read scan credentials. The Web Vulnerability Scan profile renders in clear text the password that the scanner stores to access the device defined in that profile. Low-privileged authenticated access to the profile is required, and the consequence is limited to disclosure of the stored device-access password.
