CVE-2020-15935Network attack vector

Credential disclosure via reversible GUI password obfuscation

Published Nov 2, 2021 · Updated Oct 25, 2024

Cleartext storage in the Fortinet FortiADC GUI through 5.4.3 and 6.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to read LDAP and RADIUS secrets. The GUI retains LDAP passwords and RADIUS shared secrets in reversibly obfuscated password-entry values that disclose their plaintext when deobfuscated. Access to an authenticated administrative GUI session and configured directory or RADIUS credentials is required; exposure is limited to stored secrets.
