Improper privilege management in affected Fortinet FortiClient Linux 6.0, 6.2, and 6.4 releases allows local users to gain root access. The VCM engine executes a malicious script or program planted on the host with unnecessary root privileges. Local access and the ability to create that file are required; successful exploitation grants complete root control of the endpoint.
