Cross-site scripting in Microsoft SharePoint Server allows remote authenticated users to run script through a crafted web request. The request-processing path fails to sanitize attacker-controlled request data before returning it in browser-rendered content. A victim must interact with the attack, after which the script runs in that user's security context and can read unauthorized content, change permissions, delete content, or inject malicious content.
