CVE-2020-15782Network attack vector

Arbitrary protected-memory access via undisclosed operation

Published May 28, 2021 · Updated Jun 2, 2026

Memory protection bypass in Siemens industrial controllers allows remote attackers to read or write protected memory through port 102/tcp. Siemens identifies a specific operation as bypassing memory protections but has not disclosed the operation or the validation error that permits it. Unauthenticated network access to the S7 communication service is required; exploitation can expose sensitive data or place attacker-supplied data and code in protected memory.
