CVE-2020-15744Public exploit

Adjacent-network code execution via oversized authorization header

Published Aug 30, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Stack-based buffer overflow in Victure PC420 firmware 1.2.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through ONVIF. The ONVIF service Base64-decodes an oversized Basic Authorization payload into a stack buffer, allowing 308 decoded bytes to overwrite the return address. Exploitation requires local-network access and an enabled ONVIF service; no credentials or user interaction are required, and control-flow hijacking grants device-level command execution.
