Unauthenticated code execution via unsafe Hessian deserialization
Published Jul 7, 2020 · Updated Oct 21, 2025
Hessian deserialization in MobileIron Core allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through crafted web-service requests. Tomcat web services, including LogService, deserialize attacker-controlled objects; inconsistent Apache and Tomcat path parsing lets crafted enrollment-interface paths bypass access restrictions. Exploitation requires network access but no credentials or user interaction; Connector, Sentry, and Monitor and Reporting Database are also affected.
