Remote code execution via hardcoded management credentials
Published Jun 26, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Hardcoded credentials in Zyxel CloudCNM SecuManager 3.1.0 and 3.1.1 allow remote attackers to execute Python code through its web interface. The management interface on ports 80 and 9673 accepts a fixed axiros account credential and permits authenticated uploads that replace ZODB-backed Python objects. No prior account access or user interaction is required; network access to either web port is sufficient to run uploaded code as the appliance's axess service account.
