Credential exposure via cleartext GET query strings
Published Jun 26, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Sensitive-data exposure in Zyxel CloudCNM SecuManager 3.1.0 and 3.1.1 allows attackers to capture /cnr credentials in transit. The xmppCnrSender.py HTTP-to-XMPP gateway places the JID, CRUs username, and CRP password values in an unencrypted GET query on TCP port 8083. Network-path visibility is required, and exposure is limited to credentials submitted through the /cnr endpoint.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
Public exploit references
No public exploit references are available in this record.
Labels summarize the accepted research assessment. They do not indicate a test against your environment.
