CPE credential exposure via GET query parameters
Published Jun 26, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Sensitive-data exposure in /registerCpe in Zyxel CloudCNM SecuManager 3.1.0 and 3.1.1 allows context-dependent attackers to capture CPE credentials. The WAN-facing xmppCnrSender.py gateway places JID and PWD values in the /registerCpe GET query string and sends the traffic without encryption. Network-path or request-log access exposes the registration credentials; this issue does not establish code execution or service interruption.
