Stored XSS via breadcrumb local storage
Published Jan 13, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Combodo iTop before 2.7.2 and 3.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via console breadcrumb local storage. The breadcrumb renderer trusts values read from browser local storage, allowing injected markup and script to execute when the iTop console displays the breadcrumb. Exploitation requires a user session and browser interaction with the affected console; impact is script execution in that session, including access to data available to the victim.
