Administrator file disclosure via unfiltered backup path
Published Jun 24, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Path traversal in the backup plugin in Bludit 3.12.0 allows remote authenticated users to download arbitrary server files. The plugin-backup-download handler in backup/plugin.php accepts an unfiltered file parameter, allowing ../ sequences to escape the backup directory. Administrator access is required, and the consequence is limited to reading files accessible to the web server process.
