CVE-2020-1499Network attack vector

Authenticated cross-site scripting via unsanitized web requests

Published Aug 17, 2020 · Updated Nov 18, 2024

Cross-site scripting in Microsoft SharePoint Server allows remote authenticated users to run script in a site user's security context. SharePoint's web-request sanitizer accepts crafted request content without neutralizing script; Microsoft has not named the handler or parameter. A SharePoint account is required; exploitation can expose unauthorized content, alter site permissions or content, and act as the affected user.
