CVE-2020-14955

Local system crash via unvalidated IOCTL input

Published Jun 26, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Improper input validation in Jiangmin Antivirus 16.0.13.129 allows local users to crash the host via malformed IOCTL input. The KVFG.sys kernel driver accepts unvalidated input values for IOCTL 0x220440 and processes them without the required checks, triggering a blue-screen crash. Local low-privileged access is required; the documented consequence is a system crash, while any additional impact remains unspecified.
