Authenticated command execution via ServiceAdmin shell metacharacters
Published Jun 21, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
OS command injection in aaPanel 6.6.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands through ServiceAdmin. The endpoint accepts modified start, stop, or restart input containing shell metacharacters, causing the host shell to execute injected text. A valid panel session and access to a Software Store service-control request are required; successful exploitation runs attacker-selected commands on the server.
